Amber, a freelance writer and all around athlete,
shares her story in her own words.
I’ve been interested in fitness and
nutrition since I was in high school. Of course, then it was a matter of being
thin for thin’s sake. Now, it’s a matter of being strong and leading a
healthy, balanced life.
When I returned to Columbus from New York
City in January after finishing my master’s degree in Art History. I was
anxious to work with a personal trainer again –to have the extra motivation
and creativity that a professional can provide. The problem was that I was (and
still am) deeply in debt, and I didn’t think I would be able to afford the
sessions.
My friend Ginny told me about Baseline
Fitness. She raved about the Bod Pod, the nutrition advice, and all the great
results she had achieved by working with Eve Ann. Best of all, she told me how
affordable it was—far less than any other program I had researched.
I have to say that Ginny was right. Even
someone like me who is on a shoestring budget can afford this kind of
personalized training. Since I started working with Eve Ann in March, I have
gone from 22.4% body fat to 18.5%! Not bad for four month’s time. The strength
I’ve gained has been measurable as well—I can do pull-ups! I never thought I
could do them on my own!
The strength and focus that my training
sessions provide are showing up in other parts of my life as well. Increased
strength gave me the courage to try rock climbing for the first time, and I have
been able to run my first 10K without the joint problems that weak muscles can
create. I’m strong, healthy and confident! Now back to those pull-ups. . .
